Credit check provider Callcreditcheck.com has found that more couples than ever are worrying about their financial stability – which just proves the need for good, prudent mortgage advice.

Callcreditcheck.com says almost one in five couples are worried that that they could not survive financially beyond one month if one of them were to lose their job.

One in four women think they would be unable to cope financially beyond one month if their partner was made redundant, while half of men say that they would be financially vulnerable if their partner lost their job.

Fear is natural at the moment – jobs are on the line, house prices are falling and finance is just about impossible to get hold for some. But there is something that can almost certainly allay some of those fears – advice.

Advice will shed light on your situation, open up possibilities and generally help you make sense of your situation and any possible eventualities. It might not solve everything, and it cannot stop people from losing their jobs. But good financial advice can be the best way to stop financial fear taking over.

"Very helpful and professional. Both Ash and Helen always returned my calls and kept me up to date on the progress of my mortgage application. I have also agreed a buildings & contents insurance package with yourselves. Please pass on my thanks to both of them. It's a shame Alliance & Leicester were not as efficient as you, they were the only weak link in the chain."
